Default Computer help... old dos game...
I want to play some old dos games cause im bored...namely wolfenstein 3D. I downloaded it from here: http://www.dosgamesarchive.com/file/wolf3d/
But I cant play it on vista. Anyone know a way to make it work, or a version that I can play???

There are plenty of how-to's for dosbox online. You just mount the location of the game to a virtual drive within dosbox and run the game that way.

right click on game - properties - compatibility mode - try windows 98.

I know jack shit about computers...Thats why I bought a warranty with this one so when I screw it up... They fix it

DOsbox is your best bet when running dos on vista. other stuff are just complicated.

That should fuel your fire for a bit. Most old games like Wolf 3D and even Doom 1-2 have been remade using flash so you can just play them online any time.

that's really wrong.

no software in under warranty.
hardware only.

it's like a car, if the engine blows while idling, they'll swap it. but if you don't know how to drive, and hit a few pedestrians during your learning curve, they wont buff that out for you for free

I actually got him to write down on my warranty sheet that no matter what I install or do... They will fix it, unless it is physical damage. Seeing as how ive crashed 2 macs already... and I wasnt even trying...lol
